Orel B. Amano, PhD
Dr. Orel B. Amano is a Data Scientist (DS), User Experience Researcher (UXR), and lecturer in the Department of Marketing and Strategic Management at the School of Business Administration, College of Management. Orel is the CEO and CTO of WorkFlow, a venture that develops technological systems and makes advanced technologies accessible to researchers from industry and academia, alongside CultureLens, an organization that emphasizes cultural aspects in digital data mining and generating market and environmental insights based on cultural context.
In his work, Orel advises startups and organizations in Israel and abroad on topics such as persuasion techniques, the development of innovative research methodologies, and Digital Optimization by Context. With two decades in programming, entrepreneurship, technological training, and academic teaching, Orel brings extensive experience in developing advanced technological systems. He bridges academia and industry to find practical, technological solutions for sensitive issues, information security, and working with international organizations.
Among his various roles, Orel regularly participates in the discussions of the Israeli Knesset's subcommittee on artificial intelligence and advanced technologies. He is a co-director of the Artificial Intelligence for Research Israel (AI4RI) community, focusing on advanced procedures (AI4RI Technical), and the founder of the ARK Institute for distilled and actionable knowledge in artificial intelligence. Orel is also a digital nomad and polyglot with practical experience working with diverse countries and cultures around the world.
